The coffee here is wonderful. They use Cat and cloud for their espresso and it’s often made to par with the actually cat and cloud cafes. I have had really great service here. Connor/Conner and Joseph have been very welcoming, they’ve made great drinks, and they are excited to chat with you about the coffee. I am writing this review as multiple times I have gone in and two other employees have been working there. I cannot put into words how awful the service is. They are dismissive and rude. Sure they make good coffee but that’s only half of the experience at a cafe. I have worked in the coffee industry as a roaster and a barista and I know the importance of service. You can have the best coffee in the world but if the service is awful no one will want to come in. Sebastian’s has the best coffee in Redwood City and Menlo Park but the service from these employees is so awful that I will not go in if these two are working. I hope the management is aware of this so they can make changes as these employees will dramatically damage the business. I do suggest visiting sbastians and I hope you receive good service, but I believe it’s important that the management is aware of this and makes a change. It’s truly the worst service I have ever received at a coffee shop.
